Traffic Restrictions

Event organisers successfully applied and have been granted a TTRO by Hertfordshire County Council. It is officially referred to as: “The Hertfordshire (Temporary Closing of Various Roads in Bishops
Stortford during 'The Bishops Stortford Running Festival') Order 2026”.

The TTRO is in place on Sunday 24th May, 6:00-14:00, to facilitate the safe holding of the traffic management for the Bishop's Stortford Running Festival.

​

Between 06:00-14:00, to provide a safe passage for runners, the following roads will be closed and diversions put in place:

• Part of Bells Hill (from Regency Close to Windhill)

• Part of Windhill (from Windhill to High Street)

• High Street

• North Street

• Water Lane

• Part of Bridge Street (from Water Lane junction to High Street cross-roads)

• Market Street

• Potter Street

• South Street

• Church Street
